FEE-ONLY FIDUCIARY FINANCIAL ADVISOR FOR HIGH-NET-WORTH WOMEN

You built the wealth. Now make it unshakeable.

Align is a fee-only financial advisor for women whose wealth has outgrown a single account, led by Hazel Secco, CFP®, from Hoboken, New Jersey.

Seven-figure portfolios, concentrated stock, equity that vests faster than you can think about it. At this level the expensive mistakes are not spending mistakes, they are coordination mistakes: the RSUs sold in the wrong year, the accounts that were never tax-located, the estate plan from two jobs ago. Align exists to catch them before they cost you.

Proud to partner with women in successful companies like yours

The problems that show up after the first million.

Concentrated stock and equity compensation

When one company’s stock is both your paycheck and your biggest holding, every vest date is a tax event and a risk decision at once. We build sell-down and exercise schedules for RSUs, ISOs, NQSOs, and ESPPs that respect your tax brackets, your trading windows, and your conviction in the company, so the position shrinks on purpose instead of by accident. If you recognize yourself here, start with Home Stock Syndrome and the RSU withholding mistake.

Taxes across every account, not one at a time

High-net-worth women rarely overpay taxes in one dramatic place. They overpay in a dozen quiet ones: assets in the wrong account types, missed Roth conversion windows, charitable gifts made with cash instead of appreciated stock. We plan your taxes across all accounts and multiple years, and we coordinate directly with your CPA. Two places to see the math: the Roth conversion window high earners miss and IRMAA 2026.

Wealth that survives a transition.

Divorce, widowhood, a company sale, retirement itself. Transitions are when wealth is most exposed and when advice matters most. We model the decision before you have to make it, so you choose from numbers instead of fear. See which accounts to tap first in retirement and the real math on retiring with $2 million.

An estate plan that matches your actual life

Documents drafted a decade ago rarely reflect the wealth or the wishes you have now. We coordinate with your estate attorney to align titling, beneficiaries, and trust structures with what you actually want to happen. For appreciated stock, giving is often the better exit: donating stock to charity.

Is Align right for you?

Real moving parts

Equity compensation vesting each year, a business or a coming sale, multiple account types pulling in different tax directions, or a retirement transition with too much at stake to improvise.

A desire for a financial partner

You want one team accountable for the whole picture year-round, not a one-time answer that goes stale in a drawer.

Wealth worth protecting

Align is designed for women with around $1 million or more in investable assets and a need for coordinated, ongoing advice. We also consider high earners below that level who have significant capacity to save and financial decisions that benefit from ongoing planning. Fit depends on your assets, income, saving capacity, and the work you want help with.

...then we should talk.

Working With a Fee-Only Financial Advisor for Women: FAQ

Most of our clients are women, and the way we work is built for them: the pace, the questions we ask, and the way we explain trade-offs. Spouses and partners are always welcome in the room. What matters is that the woman making the decisions gets a plan built around her, not one adapted from someone else’s.

Fee-only means we are paid only by our clients. No commissions, no product sales, no referral fees, no payments from anyone else. It is different from fee-based, which sounds similar but allows commissions on top of fees. Align is a member of NAPFA, the professional association for fee-only advisors, and acts as a fiduciary, which means your interests come first.

The math is different, so the plan should be too. Women live longer on average, so the same savings must fund more years. A married woman’s household goes from two Social Security checks to one at the first death, and the survivor files as a single taxpayer on much of the same income. A single woman’s plan has no second income and no default decision-maker behind it. A financial advisor for women prices those in from the start: longevity in the spending plan, survivor and single-filer taxes in the Roth conversion schedule, and a written care and power-of-attorney plan instead of an assumption that someone else will handle it.

Ask four questions. Are you fee-only, paid by me and no one else? Are you a fiduciary all the time, in writing? Who will I actually work with, and do they hold the CFP® certification? And what exactly is in the plan I receive? Then verify the answers: fee-only advisors are listed by NAPFA, and every adviser’s fee schedule and disciplinary history are public in Form ADV at adviserinfo.sec.gov. If an advisor cannot answer all four plainly, keep looking.

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Hazel is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) as well as a CFP® professional. Whether you have always managed your own money or are taking it on for the first time after a divorce or the loss of a spouse, the first meeting is the same: we lay everything out in order and decide together what has to happen first. Financial planning for single women has its own page.

Our clients are typically women whose finances have outgrown a single account: equity compensation, a seven-figure portfolio, a pension or deferred compensation, or a business. We do not publish a minimum, because the fit depends on the decisions in front of you, not on one number. The 15-minute Align Call is where we tell you plainly whether we are the right fit. If your income is ahead of your assets for now, our work with high-earning women describes that stage.

Align is fee-only: you pay us directly and no one else pays us, so there are no commissions anywhere in the relationship. The fee for your engagement is quoted in writing before you sign, and the full schedule is in our Form ADV Part 2A. We walk through it on the first call.

We are based in Hoboken, New Jersey, and registered as an investment adviser in New Jersey. Most of our work happens virtually. If you live outside New Jersey, ask on the call and we will tell you plainly whether we are able to work together.

One team for the whole picture.

Too many high-net-worth women carry complex wealth decisions with too little guidance and too much guesswork.

Without a strategy, it’s easy to miss a conversion window, sell stock in the wrong year, or get hit with a tax bill nobody planned for.

You’ve built too much to leave it uncoordinated. With one plan and one accountable team, the next decade is about keeping it, growing it, and paying less tax along the way.
